Blame It On Me

We apologize immensely to anyone who reads our blogs. We are in the middle of figuring out what we want to do with this blog, which direction we want it to go with it. Should be on a normal schedule by March, April at the latest.

You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch!

Sadly, this year's Christmas was not as jolly as usual at Gela's house. The whole family got together for dinner and laughs... except one person.
My brother, Joey, is in the Army. This year, he spent Christmas in Germany due to a delay in exiting Afghanistan. Luckily, he has some great friends so he was not alone. Also, he may have missed Christmas, but my brother will be home this weekend. Just in time for New Year's Eve! :)

In other Christmas news! I received many gifts.
Clothes, slippers, a blanket, tons of candy, and...... A MR. COFFEE!!!! xD

I definitely went out to buy K-cups for it and I highly recommend the Pumpkin Spice cups from Green Mountain Coffee!

Anyone that knows me, knows that I am very particular about my coffee. My family thought I was crazy for being so excited about a coffee maker. However, after brewing a cup for my mother, there was no more discussion.

Minus the absence of my brother, Christmas was generally a success. Not just because of my Mr. Coffee though. This Christmas I got to see just how wonderful my little cousins are. When discussing presents with Desi, 11 years old, she told me that she did not want presents for Christmas. She just wanted her cousin Joey home.

This Christmas has renewed my hope for children today. Plus, it showed us all that there are certain times where you just have to go with the flow because things do not always work out. Also, it showed me that I can have a delicious cup of coffee without going to Starbucks. :P

All I Want For Christmas Is You

So, this year has basically flown by and towards the middle Gela and I got a bit sidetracked .... Sorry!!

We've still been busy with Beek Geeks and everything Beekman 1802 related. Speaking of which, congratulations to Brent and Josh, who got engaged on December 16th. We've also been busy with school. Cannot believe this semester is already over! And we met a new friend, a super talented guy named John, who we will feature in another post.

I hope you all had a very happy holiday, whether it be Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, whatever! I myself had a very great Christmas . I'm actually typing this on my new iPod Touch <3

I also got some DVDs, like Horrible Bosses and my all time favorite tearjerker, Where The Red Fern Grows. My grandparents also got me a new peacoat. I got a second copy of the Beekman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook! And more clothes. My aunt and uncle are visiting for New Year's, so I'll probably get some movies and books from them. We spent Christmas dinner with my grandparents and earlier in the day I Skyped with one of my best friends, Mikey :) That was the one thing I really wanted, Mikey home for the holidays, but we just couldn't make it work, so maybe next year.

I hope that we can stay up-to- date with the blog in 2012, maybe we'll do fewer posts throughout the month. We'll figure something out! Have a wonderful last few days of 2011! See you next year.

All Gone to Hell

Ohhhh my.  There has been quite a significant amount of time since our last blog.  And we apologize.  We started back at school.  This semester has been crazy for this kid.  I have a multi camera production class, which means I'm learning the basics of live television editing.  A mass media and culture class, in which I spend a majority of my time discussing The Fabulous Beekman Boys.  An environmental literature class, just for fun.  A theatre appreciation course, which I am rocking.  And finally a writing for radio, television, and film class.  I just finished a PSA for that class today.
As for Gela, she has also been busy.  She has a class on Wednesday nights that is two and a half hours long.  UGH.

Of our most recent adventures, we have met comedian Lee Camp and former Full House star, Dave Coulier.  Both did shows at our campus.  They were amazingly lovely people and super fun to talk to.

Ummm.  We have acquired a bunch of new friends this semester, because *SHOCKER* we are actually DOING things.  We went to a Drag Ball, hosted by Open Minded Unity (the gay-straight alliance on campus)  And we met an amazing group of people.  Also, we have met a vlogger and you all should check out his channel:  Will's Doing It!

Where Are You?

I think maybe we're the worst bloggers of ALL time.  I can't believe we didn't blog at all this summer.  Next week we are back at school, what kind of students only blog during the school year?  This summer has gone by extremely fast.  I held a job at CDP --which I believe I mentioned before-- in the production department.  I was a Mac editor and it's pretty easy to explain what I did:  I converted video files, edited the baseball games, burned discs, packaged and shipped them to the teams.  Good times, I will probably go back there next summer.

In our spare time, Gela and I discovered the wonderfully amazing and talented ANDY GRAMMER.  And our best friend Mikey got to see him in concert at the Grove.  He got VIP passes, met Andy and got him to say "hi" to Gela and myself.  This will be in a future episode of Gay Today for all to see.
And oh yea, this kid will be seeing him on September 5th at the NYS Fair!!  Woot, woot!  I think I may actually die of excitement.  I cannot wait to meet him, unfortunately Gela cannot come with me-- but have no fear, there will be awesome presents for her (and Mikey)

Speaking of Mikey.  He's super famous now, he was on CNN's segment when they talked about Bert and Ernie being gay.  Check that out HERE

Other than that, my Beekman Heirloom Garden had a little success.  I grew my own radishes, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, beans, and squash.  There is still a possibility of green peppers and cucumbers, but my turnips did not do well at all.  And we got all our hay in our barn, with a few minor setbacks (weather, broken machinery, work schedules, etc)

I guess that's all for now, and do not fret.  School starts next week, so our blog will be back and better than ever.

Here It Goes Again

It seems like it has been FOREVER.  But I'm back.  And it is May 25 2011.  Today is World MS Day.  MS is Multiple Sclerosis, I myself do not have this disease, but someone in my family does.  I did participate (with Gela) in this year's local Walk MS.  We raised over $800 which goes towards funding research for MS.  If you do anything today, please look at more information about MS and how you can help raise money for research at the National MS Society.

In other news.  Gela and I are going in a hot air balloon later.  Which is beyond scary and so extremely awesome at the same time.  Tomorrow is one of the most amazing days ever:  THE HANGOVER PART 2 opens in theatres.  Unfortunately I cannot go at midnight, but I will be going opening day with some friends.
Ed Helms is pretty much my comedy dream man.  I fell in love with him during the first Hangover movie.  He's the reason I started watching The Office.  And he even "introduced" me to my friend Crystal--fellow lover of Mr Helms.

And I got a job for the summer.  I will be working in the Production Department at Cooperstown Dreams Park.  I'll share a little info about the park, because I know that you all are dying to know what goes on there.
If you don't already know, Cooperstown is the home of the Baseball Hall of Fame.  The whole town is pretty much baseball oriented.  The park is for youth teams that play in a tournament for 13 weeks (all summer) --there are about 98 teams per week, making it about 1274 teams throughout the summer.  It also is the home of the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame, which every team member will be inducted to.

I guess that is all for me.  Saturday there will most likely not be a blog because Gela and myself are going to Sharon Springs for the 2011 Garden Festival--which includes a tour of the Beekman farm.

Apologize

I won't be able to do a proper blog until after final exams are through.
But here's what we did this weekend:
